The Taliban movement (banned in the Russian Federation) called on the international community to help Afghanistan in the economy, education and healthcare. This was stated to the Al-Jazeera TV channel by a representative of the movement, RIA Novosti reports.
"We demand that the international community help our people in the economy, education and healthcare," he said. According to him, the Taliban "will not allow anyone to rekindle the war" in the country.
Earlier, the representative of the radical Taliban movement, Mohammed Naim, said that the militants are doing everything possible to resume domestic and international flights from the airport of the Afghan capital as soon as possible.
On August 30, the United States completed a 20-year mission in Afghanistan and withdrew all military personnel from the country. The Taliban said that with the departure of the last American soldier, Afghanistan has become completely independent.
