Hopes for improving relations between Russia and Ukraine with the arrival of President Vladimir Zelensky turned out to be unjustified — Kiev is even considering the option of a military settlement of the situation in the Donbass. The statement at the conference of the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko is published by RIA Novosti.
The diplomat pointed out that in some respects the rhetoric and concrete actions of Ukraine are worse than under the previous president of the country, Petro Poroshenko.
According to Rudenko, the Ukrainian state is toughening its position even on the key issue-the settlement in the Donbas. Kiev, according to him, is trying to rewrite the Minsk agreements.
