At the facility in North Korea in the city of Carson there are signs of production of enriched uranium. Raphael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said in his report on the grounds to suspect the North Korean authorities of enriching uranium. He confirmed that there were signs of relevant work. There are no similar signs in other places that have been tested — in particular at the Yongbyon facility. Grossi pointed out that a number of previously closed nuclear facilities of the DPRK are still not working.
In late February, Grossi reported that the IAEA and Iran had reached a technical understanding on monitoring Iranian nuclear facilities. He said that this will help to stabilize the shattered situation and organize further political consultations on Iran's nuclear activities.
In August 2020, Iran agreed to grant IAEA monitors access to two former nuclear facilities deemed suspicious there. Earlier, Tehran did not allow its representatives to visit these two facilities for about six months, and for a year refused to hold a meaningful discussion about possible undeclared nuclear mater
