After a suicide bomber blew himself up near the gates of the Kabul airport, the US military opened random fire on peaceful Afghans. This was reported by RT correspondent Murad Gazdiev on his Twitter page.

The journalist spoke with the civilians who were injured due to the terrorist attack, who are now lying in the capital's hospitals in Afghanistan. "The Americans thought that there were more suicide bombers, so they started shooting at the panic-stricken crowd," said one of the wounded Afghans.

It was also reported that most of the victims died precisely because of the fire of the US military, and not because of the explosion. Eyewitnesses claim that American soldiers fired to kill — in the head and chest. Another cause of death was a stampede that began in a panic-stricken crowd.

Earlier it became known that 12 people were killed by an American drone strike on a car bomb near the Kabul airport. All of them were at that moment next to the car. Six of the victims were children.

On August 26, a series of terrorist attacks took place in Kabul. The first two explosions occurred at the gates of the Hamid Karzai airport. The suicide attack and the subsequent shootout claimed the lives of 200 people. About a thousand more Afghans were wounded. The responsibility for the explosions was claimed by the terrorists of the "Islamic State" (IS, a terrorist group banned in Russia).
