The United States will deploy its first battery of long-range hypersonic missiles by the end of 2023. This was announced by the head of the U.S. Strategic Command, General Anthony Cotton, at a congressional hearing. He was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
Cotton also noted that the Navy's conventional operational strike program will begin in the mid-2020s. He added that the development and deployment of hypersonic missiles is a priority for the command.
